Legend of Bukit Batok:D

The legend of Bukit Batok

This legend was set in Singapore, 500 years ago when people are still very poor.
All the villagers lived in wooden houses except Milah, the village head’s daughter, who stayed in a more refined place.

Milah was kind and beautiful. She was soft-spoken and was filial to her parents. And because of this point, her name spread all over the village, and out of the country. Most of the men from the village were dying to marry her. At that village, there came an infamous rich pirate from another village, named Abbi. He had also heard of Milah’s name, therefore specially came to ask for her hand in marriage. Although Abbi was rich, he was a selfish and arrogant person. Once he sets his mind on something, he will do what ever he can to achieve it.

Abbi decided to ask Pak Seman, the village head, to let him marry Milah. They discussed about the marriage process endlessly. Finally, Abbi offered him the highest price he could afford to marry Milah. However, Pak Seman knew that he was infamous and was a pirate, decided to refuse him. Pak Seman said rudely “Abbi, I will not agree to this marriage” Abbi was stunned by his reaction, he then pleaded and asked him to reconsider, he will come back in a few days to confirm. After days of waiting, Abbi came back to the village with an evil smile. “So how’s your decision, father-in-law?” Abbi said gently with silence after that. Pak Seman then reacted strongly and shouted “WHO IS YOUR FATHER-IN-LAW? Don’t call me YOUR father-in-law.” After this rejection once again, Abbi went back.
After a few days, Abbi decided to kidnap Milah, it was the only way he thought. So he went to the garden, when Milah always went for her brisk walk at night.
Shouts of scream then were heard after a few minutes, the villagers went to help her, and managed to make Abbi to leave the village in a hurry..

Abbi then brought war to the village, the village was in chaos.

Milah was brought to a shelter to protect her from Abbi’s men. Weeks went by and more people died. Milah couldn’t stand to see the villages suffer anymore so she decided to sneak out of the shelter and find Abbi. Milah successfully sneaked out of the shelter and immediately went to find Abbi. She told him that she will marry him only if he left her father and the village alone. Abbi agreed and the wedding date was set. On the wedding day, Milah was getting ready for the wedding when she heard one of her servants scream. She rushed to her servant and to her horror, found a hand sticking out from the ground.

Milah reluctantly asked her servants to find out who it was. Her servants carefully dug around the area. Soon, everyone could see who it was. It was the village head, Pak Seman. Milah dropped to her knees and cried. Out of nowhere, a villager popped out and ran towards Milah. He told her that he had saw Abbi burying something there last night but he did not know what it was.

It turned out that before Abbi and Milah’s wedding. Pak Seman went to find Abbi to discuss about the wedding. They started arguing, so Abbi decided to end Pak Seman’s life then, he used his dagger and pierce through him. Abbi buried Pak Seman’s body without anyone knowing.

Milah was angry and called off the wedding. She then cursed Abbi,all his men and people from his village to suffer from a disease for 100 years. After all this, Abbi lived near a hill and it was renamed Bukit Batok because whenever you go near it, you can hear Pak Seman screaming for help silently.

The moral of the story is to treat people nicely and don’t force people if they don’t want to do it.:D.

H1N1

It wasn't much of a surprise for me when Singapore became one of the affected countries because it already had so many cases. Before school started, I received a letter from the school and a declaration form. I read it and filled in in. When school reopen, we were told that we have to take our temperature 2 times a day. I was a little irritated because I hated taking temperature. We were also told that Hadi was on LOA because he went to Indonesia. I hope the number of increasing cases will slow down soon..

June Holidays

During the June Holidays, I went to KL, Malaysia for Elken Winners' Night during the 6 and 7 June. Its for people who work for Elken to receive awards. I was there because my mother buys Elken's product and I had nothing to do for the June holidays. At first, the people in my family who were going were my parents, brother and me, but my brother had school on that Saturday so he couldn't come. I had to wake up at 5.30am that day to avoid a traffic jam. There was a traffic jam but it wasn't so long so it wasn't that bad.

We reached KL and went straight to the stadium cause we could only check in the hotel at 2pm. We reached the stadium at 11am I think. To kill some time, we went inside. We were told that there was an exhibition so we went upstairs after collecting the goodie bag. One of the exhibition was about your blood and you could test your blood for blood pressure and blood sugar level. I was surprised when I found out what my blood sugar level was because it was quite high. It was 6.2... Haha, guess I should stop eating so much junk food. We ate our lunch there and then went to the hotel to check in.

We went back to the stadium at 5pm. It started an hour late but it was quite entertaining. We went back to the hotel at 10.30pm. The next day we went back to Singapore. For the rest of the week, I read manga, played Dragonica and watched anime.

About Me

Lol! I know I was supposed to write about myself first but I forgot... So better late then never. Here goes...

My name is Ayu Rahayu. I go to Zhenghua Sec and is in 1E2. I am 13 years old this year and I live in Fajar Road in Bukit Panjang. I have a mother, a father, an older sister who is married now with 2 children, an older brother who is in N.S. as a fire fighter and another older brother who is in his second year in Ngee Ann polytechnic. All my siblings went there and I am hoping to go there as well.

Here's what we siblings have in common, we all went to the same primary school which is Zhenghua Primary. All went to the same secondary school well except for one which is my sister who went to CCK Secondary because Zhenghua Secondary haven't been built yet back then. I am hoping that I am going to Ngee Ann Poly as well but that's a long way to go.

Enough about me, here's something about my parents. My dad is a technical engineer in GSK which stands for Glaxo Smith Kline and my mum is a housewife.There's not much to write about me so that's about it. Bye~ ^^

Secondary 1 Camp

Hmm, what to say about camp? Hmm.... Nothing! Why? Because I didn't go... Why? Because I had a high fever... Why? Because I dont know...

All I know is I got up at 6.15a.m. as usual, bathe, got ready for sch and had a headache, stomachache and didn't feel like eating breakfast and before you know it, I ran to the toilet and started vomiting........My mum told me to rest in bed and wait a few hours until the nearby clinic is open.

After waiting, my mum brought me to the clinic and there were many people... So what do I do? I waited that's what I did... When it was finally my turn, me and my mum went in the doctor's office or what ever they call it and he asked me what was wrong so I told him I had a fever. He took my temperature and told me it was 38.8'C. Good thing it wasn't higher than that... So he gave me a 2 days M.C. After that I went out of the office or what ever it is and waited until the medicine is ready. I'm sure some of you are wondering "Then what about your stomachache?" well, I did told him that and he said it was gas...

After a few minutes, my medicine was ready. I had to take so many pills and some of them were big... So after receiving my medicine, my mum paid for it and it cost $31. $20 for seeing the doctor and $11 for the medicine

When I got home, my mum told me to take all of my medicine and rest. After I took my I slept till the next day.

The next day, I was slightly better but I still had a headache so I rest all day long. I started feeling better during the evening. Then, the phone rang. It was my dad. He told me that he had gave my M.C. to my form teacher and she said that I did not have to go for camp. I wanted to go but my mum didn't let me. She was afraid I might get sick again. So I didn't...

I spent the next 4 boring days at home but I didn't feel like I was missing out on anything. On Tuesday, I woke up at 6.15a.m. to get ready for school. When I had just turned off my alarm clock, the phone rang and my mum answered it. It was her friend. She said that there was no sch that day since all the students that went for camp had to rest. I was like WHAT?! you couldn't have told me that yesterday?! So I went back to sleep and THE END! :D
